31.8.09 - SFX Church celebrated 52nd Year of Merdeka with Eucharistic Celebration

The message of our Padre Rev. Fr. Simon Yong SJ in conjunction with our nations 52nd Merdeka Anniversary was that nationhood must move us to do more for humanity. This call made at his homily in the 9.00 am Eucharistic celebration was in line with the call of Christ to love God, Self and Neighbor. And in a multi ethnic country like Malaysia, surely such approach will bring about better unity and understanding between all Malaysians irrespective of race, religion or creed. Let us continue to pray for our nations' unity and prosperity.
