To extend Christmas joy to our SSVP adoptees, members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of SFX Church visited several adoptee families in the Desa Mentari area to deliver special hamper packs of food stuff and also additional items like toys and school bags received from well wishing SFX parishioners to the children of the families visited.

This annual event was held on Sunday 14.12.08 with members lead by the President, Bro Alvin gathering after the 8.30 am Mass at the Bilik Ozanam SFX Church to finalise the logistics involved in the distribution. Sunday Fellowship 24th. Anniversary Celebration

The SFX` Church Sunday Fellowship celebrated its 24th Anniversary with a dinner fellowship held at the home of Madam Anne Wong in SS2 P.J. The evening was joyful with a good turn out of its members lead by Mr Soosay Muthu and friends and guests. The MC for the evening Dr. Stephen Leong must be congratulated for musical skills both in singing and playing the guitar and the ukelele. He also had the gathering in laughter with his comments regularly interspersed with witty jokes and stories to keep all present entertained. Present also to lead the praise and worship for the evening was Max Yong and his Charismatic Band. Several highlights of the evening including lucky draws for all present and also the handing over of the years collection by Sunday Fellowship to SFX Church. The amount raised for this anniversary was more than last year and the amount was about RM6.5k. The cheque for this amount was handed over to Mr Vincent Yang, the Parish Finance Council Chairperson, who received it on behalf of Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Simon Yong SJ. Earlier Mr Vincent Yang also cut the anniversary cake.

The anniversary celebration was a great success and all agreed with Mr Soosay that next year being the silver jubilee of the Sunday Fellowship will be celebrated on an even grander scale.
