"That The Truth Shall Prevail - Malaysia is a secular constitutional democracy with Islam as its official religion". The hour long Prayer Vigil was led by Rev. Fr. O.C. Lim SJ. , with Ms. Rachel Wong commentating. The Prayer Vigil was conducted with both moments in silent reflection on statements of faith projected on the Sanctuary wall and also for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Fr O. C. Lim in his Homily reminded the congregation of the Catholic Bishops' call to all in 2002 "to resist all attempts to change the secular nature of the constitution."
Verbal petitions to God were raised in the Prayer Of The Faithful. At the end of the Prayer Vigil several documents published by the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism & Taoism (MCCBCHST) were distributed at the front porch of the church to the parishioners.
