The Renovation of our church is coming on on schedule and we look forward to moving back to the church for masses during Holy Week.
For the roof, all old timber bracing has been removed and in place is the new roof made of corrugated galvanised iron roof sheets and underlined with noise damping insulation materials. The ceiling on Mother Mary's wing has also been fixed with wood grain timber pieces, which according to the Architect are similar to those used in KLIA.
With the roof covered, internal works in the roof area are rapidly installed. These on going works include installing ventilation ducting in the ceiling space, exhaust fans, and light and sound points wiring. The pathway for roof high repairs and maintenance has already been done.
Entering the 6th week we will see the ceiling being installed, followed by installation of ceiling lights, speakers etc.
The cost of our Church renovations continuous to be raised through fund raising efforts within our parish. Thus your continued help will be most appreciated. You may donate directly through the Parish Office. Cheques may be issued to "Church of St. Francis Xavier" with indication "church renovations" indicated at the back of the cheques.
