2.5.09 - SFX Church Fund Raising Dinner Event "Evening for the Roof"

A sold-out 86 table dinner was held on 2.5.09 at the Restaurant Extra Super Tanker located at the Bukit Utama "The Club" complex to raise fund for our Church's ceiling and roof renovations. A comprehensive entertainment program of songs and music entertained the dining guests throughout the night. Highlight of the singing, besides by invited artists Francisca Peters and the Os Combos band was the singing by our Dear Padre Rev. Fr. Simon Yong SJ. His medley of songs throughout the evening helped to bring in more generous donations from the supportive diners. Several parishioners and benefactors must also be complemented for having generously donated their precious collection of antiques, jewelery, philately items of stamps and first day covers, and also numismatic coins for public auction to raise more funds.

Good liquor and fine wine and delicious SFX designed chocolates were also sold and proceeds also went for the renovations funds. Furry teddy bears were also aplenty as table gifts as well as among the give away lucky draw prizes.

The success of the event is due to the hard work put in by the organizing team.
