The Palm Sunday celebration with procession around the Church compound was celebrated at the Saturday (15.3.08) sunset service at 6.30pm. Heavy rain earlier that afternoon although caused many parishioners to be drenched and had to use their umbrellas to get to church, however did not dampen their spirit as they prayed for a miracle that the weather will turn out fine when it was time to start the celebration. Praise God the heavy rain did stop and only very light drizzle was experienced during the procession.
Parishioners taking part in the procession moved along under their respective BEC and Parish Group banners, following the main Presider Rev. Fr. Simon Yong SJ.
Besides normal palms made available by the Church, members of the Filipina Service Committee (FSC) were also on hand making special cross shaped palms for sale to the parishioners . Hot Cross buns were also sold by the Sunday Fellowship team. Proceeds from both these sales were for the church.
